Customer Service Representative - MD
Our client, a national distributor of lumber and building materials, is interested in hiring an Inside Customer Service Representative for their location in Westminster, Maryland. The individual must be an energetic self-starter with an interest in professional growth.
-Responsible for customer phone service as well as at the sales counter
-Take and process customer's orders
-Support the Outside Salespeople by accurately entering and processing their orders from the field and follow up with Operations to see that orders are shipped on time and complete
-Correctly handle all customer inquiries
-Generate sales of company products with customers on the phone
-Assist customers with purchases and orders and answer any questions they might have
-Properly quote, order, and invoice special orders
-Follow up to make sure that orders a processed and shipped correctly and on time
-Handle customer requests and complaints
-Coordinate the ordering of samples and literature with the Branch Manager and the Outside Sales Personnel
-Performs other duties as directed by the Branch Operations Manager as required
-Valued but not required skills and
Experience:
Some college preferred
-Prior industry experience
-Reports to the General Mgr
Required Qualifications
-Proven ability to work both independently and in a team environment
-Must have the ability communicate
-Ability to prioritize tasks and work quickly and efficiently
-Basic computer skills; MS Office Suite (Word and Excel), Email, Scanning, Fax
