Senior Sales Analyst - Leading Consumer Goods Company

Reporting to the Executive Vice President, the Sales Analyst will develop strong working relationships with stakeholders to ensure the efficient operation of the sales departments. The Sales Analyst manages customer sales forecasting, customer planning and uploads, internal and internal sales reporting, internal sales forecasting, sales process optimization as well as sales program implementation.
The Sales Analyst will work closely with the Executive Vice President and the sales department to build and report information to advance sales. The Sales Analyst will use existing tools & processes to collect recorded sales information and analyze, interpret and report upon this information. The Sales Analyst will make decisions, implement new processes and fine tune existing processes.
Responsibilities:
Sales Forecasting. Lead and coordinate forecasting for the sales managers, drive and encourage sales discipline for accurate, consistent and timely forecast submission based on disciplined use of the sales process and tools, drive evolution of forecasting process and tools to enable channel growth
Manage the flow of inventory to retail stores and customers. Collaboratively plan the sales and replenishment needs by using internal and external tools to create and audit sales forecasts and maintain inventory levels. Review all items weekly and report necessary plan of action to Replenishment, Sales and Forecasting. Follow up to ensure implementation of required changes
Update/Upload direct and e-commerce customers' requests daily
Participate in weekly planning and replenishment calls with internal and external customers
Provide and update pricing for internal and external customers
Load and verify accuracy of customer data in internal and external systems
Planning and Coordination. Assist in coordinating monthly, quarterly and annual planning cycles, ensure effective execution of sales reviews, maintain transparency on key sales execution and enablement topics and follow up action items to closure, provide effective sales team communication. Report daily, weekly, and monthly Sales Forecast
Analyze Point of Sales numbers and trends to drive sales, work with customer analysts
Analyze data from edifice, retail link, commerce hub and other customer data sources
System Support & Evolution - drive continual enhancements to maximize sales effectiveness in support of a channel business model
Sales Productivity - work with sales to identify sales productivity barriers, and identify areas for improvement including process, tools, reporting, selling tools, training, templates, lead reporting and assignment
Publish detailed sku sales reports, forecast against sales and trends.
Assist in collecting and analyzing sell through POS data
Track sales and margin performance versus goals
Leverage existing tools including Contracts, Pricing and CRM to gain sales insight
Voice recommendations for advancing the structure, processes, and information for Sales
Liaison between sales, product management, distribution and customer.
Assist in customer meeting preparation and participate in customer team meetings
Assist Sales in relationship management with our customers
15% travel is required
Requirements:
3-5 Years Sales Analysis and Forecasting experience specifically in the consumer goods industry
Experience working with Retail Store Customer Sales Data / E-Commerce required
CRM experience (Microsoft Dynamics AX a plus)
Bachelors' Degree, preferably in Business or Finance
3-5 Experience pulling customer sales and category data
Experience with Retail Link, commerce hub, edifice or other customer data systems
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Sales Operations experience required
Proven success in developing, deploying and driving adoption of business processes
