Medical Coding Specialist
A health and retirement benefits plan provider in Decatur, IL is seeking a Medical Coding Specialist.
Pay Rate: 12.00/hr - $13.00/hr
Hours: 8:00AM - 4:30PM
Days: Monday - Friday
Type: Long-term
Job Requirements:
Excellent data entry speed and accuracy
Telephone customer service experience would be helpful
Minimum 2 years of experience in a medical claims billing environment preferred
Knowledge of ICD diagnosis coding
Knowledge of CPT procedure coding and medical terminology
Ability to use automated claims systems
Bilingual in English and Spanish would be a plus

Responsibilities:
Provide customer service while adjudicating claims in accordance with the benefit plan
Data entry diagnostic and procedure claims into automated system
Research and resolve claim discrepancies
Communicate with plan participants and providers
This is a long-term, temp to hire position
