Job ResponsibilitiesWe offer an exciting opportunity for an innovative, self-motivated Poly Area Leader who is looking for a well-rounded,hands-on experience within a stable and unique industry.
Plastipak is the largest privately-held plastic rigid manufacturer inNorth America, with global operations.
In this role, you will be responsible for and work with team members to meet set objectives for their assigned production linesin the areas of safety, quality, reliability, scrap, and lean.
Responsibilities:
- Ensures all blow molder process settings are accurate and within the standard process parameters.
- Enter proper and accurate downtime notifications and repair work orders into SAP.
- Timely maintenance of PSA's.
- Performs product-handling duties, which includes transferring finished product to Warehouse locations.
- Performs material-handling duties, which includes scrap grinding and material loading.
- Train team members to use SAP to perform routine functions such as label returns, scrap, and downtime.
- Use Yellow Tag procedure to properly address maintenance requests.
- Follow production schedule and work orders so that correct product is being produced.
- If lines are not running to standard, determine reasons and best course of action to make appropriate repairs/improvements.
- Accountable for maintaining a Lean Culture.
Ensure all 6S tasks and tools are being utilized and adhered to.
- Focus on Continuous Improvement in the areas of maintenance, safety, quality, reliability and productivity.
- Ensure quality product through proper testing, data entry into SAP and observations.
- Ensure effective communications are flowing between shifts.
- Identify, prioritize and report problems with recommended solutions to be addressed during scheduled downtime.
- Direct and Monitor the work flow and daily work functions of the team.
- Responsible for ensuring required and appropriate associate training is occurring, mentor and qualify associates using theTechnical Training paths as guides.
(train, mentor and quality)- Effectively and efficiently schedule and monitor team members' breaks and lunch periods.
- Provide input to Team Leader on performance evaluations and on disciplinary actions.
- Actively participate in team meetings.
- Reports any non-conformities, production, machine or quality issues, or concerns on process to the department TeamLeader.
- Acts as back up production technician as necessary.

- Initiate action for food safety issues- Ability to adhere to the attendance and punctuality policy.
- Works in a safe and efficient manner at all times, monitors team members for safe practices and mentors best methods.
Ensuring that all near misses and incidents are properly reported and documented.
- Follows and enforces company and local work rules, safety rules, GMP, policies, procedures and work instructions.
- Other miscellaneous duties may be assigned.

Experience:
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED)- Four year degree in relevant major and/or 3-5 years of relevant manufacturing experiencePHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
