Production Manager

PURPOSE AND SCOPE:
Supports FMCNA's vision, mission, core values, quality policy & goals of plant incorporation.
Adheres to the FMCNA Compliance Program, including following all regulatory and division/company policy requirements.
Directs and coordinates activities of production department in processing materials or manufacturing products.
Responsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of the production unit.
Supports and leads the safety initiatives for the production unit.
Performs the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.
DUTIES / ACTIVITIES:
CUSTOMER SERVICE:
Responsible for driving the FMCNA culture though values and customer service standards.
Accountable for outstanding customer service to all external and internal customers.
Develops and maintains effective relationships through effective and timely communication.
Takes initiative and action to respond, resolve and follow up regarding customer service issues with all customers in a timely manner.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Reviews production orders or schedules to ascertain product data such as types, quantities, and specifications of products and scheduled delivery dates in order to plan department operations.
Manages all facets of daily production operations including coordination of Lead Production Operators and/or Production Supervisors.
Prepares operational schedules and coordinates manufacturing activities to ensure production and quality of products meets specifications.
Plans production operations, establishing priorities and sequences for manufacturing products.
Ensures operation is in compliance with FDA 21CFR Part 820 and Health Canada GMP's (as applicable).
Reviews production and operating reports and data.
Resolves operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays.
Inspects production equipment to ensure specific operational performance, optimum utilization and optimum safety.
Coordinates repairs, replacement, and maintenance of all plant equipment with Manufacturing and QC engineering departments.
Develops and/or revises Manufacturing Operation Descriptions and working practices and observes workers to ensure compliance with standards.
Resolves conflicts and adheres to progressive disciplinary and attendance policies.
Advises Plant Manager if issues requiring further attention.
Responsible for training and continued development of production personnel.
Responsible for coaching employees to grow and develop.
Conducts annual performance reviews.
Provide back up and support for the Plant Manager during his/her absence.
Responsible for maintaining and operating within plant expense and capital budgets.
Interview, recommend, hire, train and evaluate personnel.
Enforce discipline, and ensure adherence to company policies and programs.
Maintains good employee relations and monitors moral.
Optimize operations for maximum efficiency, effectiveness and uptime.
Supports Quality and Lean Six Sigma initiatives.
Other duties as assigned.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:

EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree in a technical or business field or equivalent experience required.
EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS:
At least five to seven years experience in a regulated industry of Medical Devices, Pharmaceutical or Food Processing industries.
Working knowledge of FDA and Health Canada GMP's (as applicable), OSHA, and HAZCOM.
Computer skills in word processing and spreadsheet applications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
