Phlebotomy and EKG certification desirable.
High school graduate or equiv.
Successful completion of job competencies.
Will consider entry level graduates of an approved certification program.
Able to communicate effectively, pleasantly, cooperatively and discreetly with patients, physicians, hospital employees and the public.
Able to work under pressure.
Willingness to increase knowledge of laboratory/hospital functions.
Demonstrates creativity and initiative in problem solving.
Collects and prepares blood specimens for laboratory testing, represents the laboratory to patients and their families.
Reviews physician orders, obtains clinical and demographic information, prints draw lists, and verifies patient identification and correct specimen type for tests requested.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
