QUALITY INSPECTOR JOB DESCRIPTION
Purpose:
The Quality Inspector is expected to perform inspection of mechanical components through use of qualified gages and measuring equipment, disposition the materials, document the inspection results and assemble a documentation package for every lot inspected in accordance with companys internal procedures.
Type of products:
Parts built to spec, such as blades, probes, horns, housings, end caps, washers, ceramic crystals, chassis, covers, wire harness, etc.
PC Boards, cables and individual electronic components.
Commercial hardware
Measuring devices used:
Calipers
Micrometers
Laser micrometer
Optical comparator
Microscope
Height, flatness, pin, radius and timing gages
Torque wrenches
Multimeter
Power supply
Frequency counter
CMM device will be used occasionally
Computer skills:
Ability to work with Microsoft Office products (Excel and Word)
Ability to learn Misonix software platform (Windows based)
Ability to type data
Other skills:
Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
Ability to effectively communicate with coworkers and associates from other departments
Ability to read engineering drawings and inspect product against the drawing
This job requires lifting up to 25lb boxes
Salary DOEEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
