The medical dosimetrist is a member of the radiation oncology treatment and planning team.
Dosimetrists have the expertise to measure and generate radiation dose distributions and calculations under the direct supervision of the radiation physicist and the radiation oncologist.

o Performing computations to deliver a prescribed dose to a defined tumor volumeo Supervising and/or assisting in the preparation of beam modifying devices and treatment aids necessary to carry out the planned treatmento Assisting the radiation physicist in quality assurance and radiation protection programs when necessaryo Assisting in Brach therapy implants, including calculation of doses.
Qualifications include:
o Certified Medical Dosimetrist (C.
M.
D) licensure, if required by state regulations or contract specificationso Associates or Bachelor's Degree preferred; may be required per state regulations or contract specifications.
o Two (2) years experience in medical dosimetry preferred.
o Must meet Maxim's pre-employment screening requirements.
o Current physical exam, if required by state regulations or contract specifications.
o Current TB test or chest x-ray.
