General Office Manager

Career Connections is looking for a General Office Manager for a church in Athens, Ohio. Will be responsible for answering phones, scheduling, record keeping, filing, updating social media outlets, organizing the office, inventory control duties, producing weekly and monthly communication to the congregation, coordinating volunteers, and providing additional support to church employees, council members, and the congregation by taking on other administrative duties as needed.
This is part-time, direct-hire position starting immediately. The schedule will be Monday through Friday, 9:
00 a.m. to 2:
00 p.m. for a total of 25 hours per week. The pay rate is commensurate with experience, and although health insurance is not offered, paid vacation is available upon successful completion of a probationary period.
To qualify for this position, candidates must have a friendly and helpful attitude, excellent written and verbal communication skills, a strong attention to detail, and excellent organizational skills. Must be able to work independently effectively. Must have a knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Publisher, Google platforms, and WordPress. A high school diploma and six months of work experience in a similar office setting is required. A Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
