Packaging Engineer- (rigid packaging)

Currently seeking an accomplished Packaging Engineer to act as our Sales Team's primary point of contact for managing packaging design, build, and decorating projects. The Packaging Engineer will provide successful new package development guidance through effective utilization of technical background to validate component and tooling design.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
New Package Development: Source, plans, and directs activities concerned with design and development of packaging components - primarily custom bottle molds and the decorating of components. Develops or directs development of sketches, specifications, samples, and written analysis of proposed packaging in order to present design for customer approval.
o Engineering Analysis: Analyzes engineering drawings and specifications of component to determine required physical characteristics of item, special-handling and quality requirements, and type of materials required for package.
o Testing & Verification: Conduct preliminary testing, verify test reports,and verify specifications, and related testing and/or verification of technical information.
o Project Management: Prioritize projects and appropriately minimize project (concept to creation) development time.
o Develop RFQ - ready technical engineering databases and drawings of injection-molded components and blow-molded components including but not limited to packages, closures, and dispensing systems.
o Review tool and part engineering databases and drawings for accuracy, ensuring they meet customer needs and requirements.
o Visit suppliers to review mold progress, conduct factory evaluations, and attend customer meetings
. o Maintain accurate records on each project to allow for tracking and summarizing of development information.
o Continue to be knowledgeable with all vendor capabilities such as machine capabilities/limitation, plant locations, tooling process, MOQ, etc. to properly source new package development.
o Provide decorating templates to customers and review customer's artwork to determine if machine feasible.
o Develop and maintain relationships with customers to understand their SOPs and requirements.
o Assist sales and purchasing in qualifying components' fit and function, decorating quality, and meeting drawing specification.
o Readily available to travel, assist, and aid customers with the approval process of qualifying tools and decorating components.
REQUIREMENTS:
o Should have a Bachelor's degree in Packaging, Mechanical Engineer, or related education with a minimum of 5 years' experience in Packaging Industry.
o Demonstrate excellence in organization skills and be able to problem solve and find solutions to projects. o Expertise in SolidWorks 2009
o Working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Microsoft Office Application suite
o Working knowledge of injection molding, injection blow molding, injection stretch blow molding and extrusion blow molding.
o Working knowledge of decorating processes from spraying, silk screening, hot stamping, shrink sleeve, pad printing, and labeling is a plus.
o Familiarity of material properties such, HDPE, MDPE, LDPE, PET, PVC, AL, METALS, etc.helpful
o Familiarity with ASTM, ISTA, and cGMP is a plus
o Ability to develop and deliver presentations. Ability to create, composes, and edits written materials.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
o Work may require travel to clients and manufacturing facilities.
o Participate in marketing events such as seminars, trade shows, and telemarketing events.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
