Lawn Care Technician
Lawn Technician Needed!
We are looking for a responsible, honest, and energetic individual who wants to make great pay, by working for commission, and getting a workout while doing so.
The Position:
You will travel from property to property in the Topeka area, providing lawn care to clients (Fertilization, Weed control, Insect control, Disease control, and Seeding). Duties will include (but not limited to):
Tank mixing, spraying and/or spreading of granular products on lawns, filling out KDOA paperwork, wearing of proper Protective Gear, identifying issues, solving problems, making suggestions to customers, and much more.
Training:
Training will include completion of KDOA approved Training Program, and at least 30 hours on the job training. Must be responsible with ability to work alone and perform quality work, safely and efficiently.
Compensation:
$12 per hour during initial 2 week training period. Paid by commission. $13-$18/hr. once show ability to perform work on own. Bonus at end of Season!
Seasonal Nature of Work:
Lawn Treatments are seasonal and have to be worked in around the weather. Applicant must be willing to work around the weather, and willing to perform other lawn and landscape maintenance duties when the conditions are not right for spraying. This is a full-time job, with over-time during the busy season (spring and fall). Year-round employment, but often part-time during the winter.

Qualifications:
College level course work in Horticulture, Arboriculture, Forestry, Business, Sports Turf Mgmt., Turf grass Science, Golf Course Mgmt., Landscape Design or related fields, with a passion for customers, turf and the outdoors.
We look for special people who are motivated, ambitious, high energy, hardworking, mentally tough, with a positive attitude, and outgoing personality. Previous experience in the Green Industry a plus. Act like an entrepreneur while being part of a larger company. Are you a high achiever with absolute integrity? Are you excited about working for commission, with no cap on your income?
