Plant Manager
Position
Summary: An immediate vacancy exists in a small fabrication plant near Vidalia Georgia a 30-50 mile commute from Swainsboro, Dublin, Eastman & Statesboro, Ga. Company is a well-established, privately-held, multi-product line & multi-state fabricator for OEMs & industrial applications
Company has a business plan to significantly grow the facility & has begun transferring customer orders & equipment & adding staff
In reporting remotely to the company's Operations Manager this opening provides an opportunity for a Production Supervisor or Manager to gain his/her initial experience leading a plant with full responsibility for manpower, technology, materials & machinery & then advance to other locations within the organization
Responsibilities:
o Leading the facility's manufacturing initiatives - in alignment with customer orders & the business plan
o Facilitating the meeting of the plant's KPI's - lean manufacturing, product quality, customer satisfaction, safety, positive associate relations & cost reductions
o Overseeing the plant's inventory & customer orders to determine the optimum production control levels
o Collaborating remotely with the Director of Sales & the Manager of Customer/Sales Support to plan the shipping of products to meet customers' orders
o Working remotely with the Director of Quality/Safety to ensure that products are produced to specification & within ISO procedures
o Maintaining & enhancing relationships with existing customers & occasionally assisting the sales team during joint sales calls
Competency & Experience Requirements:
o Strong leadership, coaching & collaboration skills
o Minimum of 5 years of supervisory/managerial experience 7-10 years ideal in an industrial fabrication/manufacturing environment within any industry
o Experience in a Lean manufacturing environment
o Experience analyzing data from ERP/MRP systems
o Experience interacting directly with customers
Educational & Experience Preferences:
o Bachelor's degree - preferred
o Experience in a manufacturing job-shop work environment - preferred
o Experience with engineered or fabricated products electronics, injection molding, chemicals, metal working, furniture, etc. - preferred
o Experience with die-cutting - preferred
o Experience working in a $5-15M organization - preferred
o Comparable military leadership experience - preferred
Compensation, Benefit & Relocation Package:
o Up to $90K starting base salary, a bonus potential of up to 20% of base & merit reviews
o Corporate benefit package including 401K profit sharing with company matching as well health, dental, vision, life & disability insurance plans
