Description:
This is a PRN position.
Duties:
Performs various chemical, microscopic and bacteriologic tests to obtain data for use in diagnosis and treatment of diseases.
Applies techniques used in the field of blood banking, hematology, serology and morphological examinations.
Records test results, quality control, remedial action and may also engage in research.
Qualifications:
Education:
Three years of academic studies at an accredited college.
Completion of 12 consecutive months of internship in an accredited school of Medical Technology, leading to a Bachelor's Degree.
Required national registration by the ASCP or equivalent or equally qualified through examination by the Health Education and Welfare accreditation program.
Training and
Experience:
Previous laboratory experience preferred.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
