Desktop Support Engineer
We are looking to add a Desktop Support Engineer to be an integral part of our team. This candidate will be responsilble for the in house desktop support of our Solana Beach office (80-100 people). The bulk of our team is technical and ranges from Software Developers to Software Project Managers and everything in between. Those who exhibit a passion for technology, a customer service approach to their work, and the technical depth needed to support a high-tech environment will be preferred.
Required Skills:
Ability to build, configure and properly maintain Windows and Linux based operating systems.
To have experience in installing, configuring and maintaining at least one internet facing service.
At least 2 years of experience of Windows and Linux systems administration in a commercial environment.
Practical experience of monitoring and trending tools in both Windows and UNIX environments
Knowledge of standard internet protocols and tools, including TCP/IP, HTTP, SSH, and LDAP etc.
Experience of one or more scripting languages such as Python, Perl or Bash, and Powershells
Extraordinary communication skills and business acumen.
A desire to develop within the role and to progress your career.
Desired Skills:
Experience or exposure to common database technologies such as Oracle, MySQL or Postgres. Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
