Production Maintenance Mechanic

Nelson Staffing is currently hiring Maintenance Mechanic with Seamer/Canning experience in the Food/Beverage Industry.

This position will be responsible for maintenance and repair of seamer canning machinery. Ideal candidate will have a background in canning/seamers.

Compensation: $22 - $26/hr

Responsibilities:
Conduct preventive maintenance on seamers/canning machines
Dismantle devices to gain access to and remove defective parts
Examine form and texture of parts to detect imperfections
Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments
Repair and/or replace defective parts.
Install special functional and structural parts in devices. Lubricates and clean parts
Start devices to test their performance
Set up and operate drill press, grinder and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts
Maintain and document preventative maintenance program
Troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment
Initiate purchase order for parts
Perform troubleshooting, breakdown maintenance, welding and preventative maintenance on downstream equipment (e.g. cases, multi-packers, palletizers)
Competency with hand tools, power tools, welding and machine shop equipment
Master trainer of 80% of plant equipment

Other Requirements:
Must have a High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
Minimum of 2 year experience
Must be able to clear and pass a criminal background, drug and Alcohol Screening as well as a physical exam

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
