improve quality, supply capabilities and cost Work with our procurement, suppliers and internal technical teams to provide chemical engineering expertise for improvement projects Evaluation of experimental results and drawing conclusions for process and equipment improvements Root cause analysis of failures and process modeling will be used to achieve optimizations, which will then be implemented and monitored Closely work together with process engineers in Germany and production to assure stable processes Implementation of preventive measures in case of malfunctions of equipment/processes:
ad hoc responses and long term preventive measures Deep knowledge and understanding of the linked production loops for polysilicon manufacturing to advise production and maintenance in case of questions regarding chemical and chemical engineering topics IP protection by application of patents Requirements:
Master's degree required, Ph.
D.
preferred in chemistry or chemical engineering 0-3 years of experience in the chemical industry Basic understanding of instrumental analytics Basic business administration knowledge Knowledge of databases and data processing software, especially statistical software Willing and able to travel overseas to Germany for several months of training in Burghausen Good communication skills Physical Requirements Plant engineering activities are performed mainly in an office environment but also require presence in the field (manufacturing plant and/or construction site).
Candidate must pass a pulmonary function test to be capable of wearing an air purifying respirator, if required.
Work Environment This position will be performed mainly in an office environment.
This position will require travel to Germany for several months of training.
