UX Designer
As a User Experience Designer you will be responsible for analysis of retail business processes and workflow and transferring those concepts and requirements into functional product specifications for the clients International's product suite. The User Experience Designer will be responsible for the preparation of functional design specifications and documents, user-interface design, and detailed use cases specific to the retail environment to facilitate in the creation of new modules and enhancements for the product suite.
Additionally the qualified candidate will express a high degree of creativity and problem solving to ensure the specialty retail environment is provided with the tools necessary to be successful. Understanding of the differing design needs and considerations required in developing a standard desktop application, web-based application, and mobile-based application model with focus on a retail/commerce environment are highly desired. As a User Experience Designer you will assist the Product Management group in necessary research and understanding for the retailer's needs. You will research new technology targeted toward the retail environment to remain informed of current trends as they relate to the retailer's needs.
Required skills:
o Educated in retail business management or possess the equivalent and relevant experience
o Technical experience in user-experience design or software design and support
o Solid understanding of software development methodologies, design and implementation; including specification
o Experience with user experience in a web-based application model
o Experience with the application and design requirements demanded for mobile-based applications desired
o Experience within a specialty retail environment strongly desired
o Experience with a retail point-of-sale application a plus
o Excellent skills in research, project planning and implementation
o Ability to present clear and concise information to customers, development organization, and senior management
o Ability to use independent judgment and to work independently toward expected goals
o Solid organizational skills and time management skills
o Strong interpersonal skills to partner with other teams and collaborate with peers and management
o Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
