Develop, create, and modify general computer applications software or specialized utility programs. Analyze user needs and develop software solutions. Design software or customize software for client use with the aim of optimizing operational efficiency. Construct detailed design specifications (technical or business) based on business partner requirements. Adhere to architectural standards and delivery discipline processes. Document the various computer systems modifications or information updates and update/create procedures. Develop data and process modeling to meet business requirements, and code programs to meet design specifications. Design and construct data conversion, access or retrieval approaches. Generate and execute test plans for lifecycle stages. Unit test and debug programs as necessary. Define and develop the test and production environment, coordinate the migration of the system, and/or coordinate efforts with other IT projects. Evaluate vendor packages and make recommendations to management. Deliver assigned development tasks on time and within budget. May provide technical guidance in system design.
Employer will accept Masters degree in Computer Science or related technical field and five years of work experience in job offered or five years of work experience in a computer software-related occupation. Experience must include:
1. Provide production support for all SAP environments;
2. Maintain the integrity of SAP environments by managing the SAP Correction and Transport System (CTS/CTS+) to ensure all configuration and development objects are promoted properly;
3. Control SAP user authorizations and profiles;
4. Configure and maintain the SAP printing subsystem for all SAP instances;
5. Monitor all SAP systems (work processes, users, system logs, short dumps, locks, developer traces, system traces, disk space, etc.);
6. Document and review all monitoring strategies in solution manager configuration;
7. Apply and migrate SAP maintenance (hot packages and kernel upgrades) through all systems using a structured methodology;
8. Develop and maintain system documentation for all SAP instances and interfaces;
9. Document database backup/restore methodology while working with DBA;
10. Demonstrate overall understanding of application support and the implementation and integration of new products;and
11. Demonstrate technical knowledge of performance engineering and database concepts.
