Seeking CLASS A CDL Drivers in Houston area
for Driver/ Field Technician position with GEM Mobile Treatment Services, Inc.
We are seeking Class A CDL Drivers that want to expand their career with equipment operation. The primary objective of this position is for the individual to learn the basics of safe work practices, GEM equipment operations, job-site setup and demobilization, and proper documentation of project activities and collected data. Class A CDL drivers will, upon passing GEMs driving test, also be expected to transport GEM mobile equipment to and from job site, as well as operate equipment as a Technician.
Work is based out of La Porte, TX office.

Key Responsibilities and Duties, May include but are not limited to:
Develop understanding of company structure, resources and communication lines.
Develop understanding of basic safe work practices while becoming familiar with and following all GEM policies on safety, incident reporting, and conduct. Training in this area will not only include GEM courses, but also numerous site-specific training that is required by our customers.
Develop understanding and knowledge of project objectives, pre-mobilization preparation, and job-site setup.
Learn the basic operation of GEM vapor combustors, liquid and carbon-based vapor control equipment, liquid-phase carbon filters and oil/water separation equipment, and auxiliary equipment such as hoses, blowers, pumps, etc.
Learn proper operation record keeping
Develop understanding of job-site breakdown, demobilization, equipment clean-up, and workflow of project documentation once the job is completed.
Learn the basics of vapor monitoring through the use of various instruments. This includes proper calibration, operation, and handling of these instruments.
Develop understanding of safe operation and care of company vehicles. CDL drivers must also adhere to all DOT and GEM policy regarding driver logs, vehicle inspections, bill of ladings, hazardous material transportation, etc.
Qualifications/Skills:
Valid Class A CDL, Hazmat Endorsement a plus.
Refining and petrochemical plant experience preferred but not required
Experience in environmental equipment operation and maintenance preferredP
Pass pre-employment physical, drug and alcohol screen, and background check
All employees much possess a valid driver's license and the ability to be and remain insurable under companys auto policy
Hazardous material / maintenance experience desirable
Certified with RSO/BATC, CPR, Hazwoper preferred.
TWIC card compliant or eligible required.
Availability to work all shifts, including nights and weekends, be able to report to work on short notice, and willing to travel.
Basic mechanical aptitude and math skills
Trainable attitude, willingness to learn
