Medical Support Assistant/000000 Incumbent serves as the Medical Support Assistant (MSA) for Social Work Service (SWS) at the Huntington VA Medical Center.
MSA is responsible for a broad range of administrative and clerical duties associated with multiple, direct patient care clinical social workers and special programs coordinators.
This will include administrative and clerical duties associated with the Chief and Supervisory Staff, as well as, administrative and clerical support for the day-to-day operations and support to Social Work Staff and associated employees of the service.
These duties also extend to support care provided to Veterans, the medical center, VISN, and VA Central Office initiatives.
MSA is also responsible for resolving technical problems with office equipment, assuring environmental safety is observed, distribution of issues pertaining to patients to other care givers/providers, and communicating pertinent information to Veterans, Social Work Staff, and other VA employees.
The incumbent is often the initial point of contact with the SWS for Veterans, family members, internal and external stakeholders, and the general public.
The incumbent provides prompt and professional customer service to all those contacting the SWS and ensures telephone calls are answered and resolution to problems/issues is provided.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
