An automotive tier I supplier is looking for an experienced Lean Manufacturing Manager to serve as a facilitator of continuous improvement implementation and employee engagement. The primary focus of this position will be to foster a change in the culture to drive improvements and to constantly be thinking about eliminating waste. They will develop the team members, create a continuous improvement plan, track the performance and measure the success.
o Lead plant continuous improvement. Facilitate continuous improvement and employee involvement throughout the plant
o Identify areas for improvement
o Implement best practices across multiple facilities
o Assures that process improvements are driven to closure
o Conduct Kaizen events
o Implement Kanban system-visual management system
o Provides leadership and coaching in lean thinking, problem solving
o Supports and drives compliance
o Manages cost improvement savings, tracks project progress to plan, works with project champions to assure timely completion and reports out status
o Conducts internal and external lean audits
We don't expect you to walk on water, but would love for you to have the following experiences:
o 8
years of lean/continuous improvement experience within an automotive manufacturing environment (please don't apply if you don't have automotive experience)
o Bachelors degree; Masters preferred
o Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification
o Toyota Production System Experience
o Strong people development experience
o Demonstrated success closing lean projects
o Cost savings examples
o MS Office; SAP preferred
