Our client, based in Orange County, is looking for a Financial Analyst with 3
years of experience. Excellent communication, presentation, and analytical skills are a must. The salary for this position is commensurate with experience but is in the range of $60-70k base w/ good benefits.
Description:
Perform Accounting duties at a staff level to support the Accounting Department with general Accounting tasks focusing on loan level transactions. Assist in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of general ledger, control and compliance with company policies/procedures and all regulatory requirements. Assist business partners with day to day operational activities. Research & interpret discrepancies to determine proper recording of revenue/expense.
Job Duties:
Review and record daily loan funding
Review and record daily loan sales at the pool and correspondent level
Daily Journal entry preparation of loan-level transactions and multiple transaction imports
Handle daily deposits at corporate level
Import all deposits into AMB
Assist in Month-end financial close
Prepare monthly account reconciliations of designated accounts
Reconcile bank account to general ledger
Initiate and record wire transfers
Special projects as assigned
Skills &
Qualifications:
3
years Accounting experience
Degree in Business/Accounting
Experience with AMB general ledger preferred
Experience in mortgage banking and/or financial services industry preferred
Basic Accounting knowledge/skills
Proficiency in MS Office
Intermediate to Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel required
Flexibility to work after hours, weekends and/or holidays as needed in conjunction with the monthly and quarterly close process
