Business Consulting Consultant Specialist - Privacy and Security Program
The Privacy and Security Program (P&S) is a multi-year initiative to coordinate efforts and build a cohesive strategy to continue to protect our members from threats. The Privacy and Security Consultant Specialist works in the Privacy and Security Program led by the Chief Security Officer and Chief Technology Risk Officer.
The P&S Program Consultant Specialist is a Business and IT facing role responsible for leading coordinating the development of business cases and track analytics, as well as, annual budgets, quarterly cost center forecasts, and monthly reporting and analysis of results related to Privacy and Security Program, and its project tracks. You will act as a high-level subject matter expert for IT and Business finance issues and provide direction to staff that provide financial analysis and ensuring that clients' needs are met accurately, and in a timely and professional manner. You will lead Boards of Directors financial reporting and governance and financial business case management.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
o Developing financial models to support strategic initiatives.
o Preparing concise and informative presentations of your analysis to executive management to inform and to educate/persuade.
o Review and analyze month-end financial results, variance analysis, financial irregularities, and ensure transparency.
o Preparing Ad hoc analysis and reporting.
o Participating in the annual budget and monthly forecast in conjunction with the client.
o Participating in the development and maintenance of performance metrics, measurements, methods, and targets; assisting in identifying performance improvement opportunities.In addition, providing ongoing recommendations on the use and interpretation of analysis, reports, methodologies, systems and source data, acting as a significant information resource.
o Leading business case development, challenging financial spending and savings assumptions and participating in special projects as needed.
Minimum Requirements:
o Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting.
o Large Program financial management
o A minimum of 10 years finance experience.
o A minimum of 5 years of budgeting and long range planning experience in progressively responsible roles including the ability to demonstrate experience analyzing, modeling, and forecasting financial data, including a thorough understanding of financial statement construction and analysis.
o A minimum of 3 years of experience with GAAP and key accounting policies.
o A minimum of 2 years of experience providing financial planning and analysis support to an IT organization or department
o A minimum of 2 years of experience developing business cases for large scale multi million dollar projects using cost/benefit analysis, cash flow and NPV analysis,
o Excellent demonstrated interpersonal and teamwork skills
o Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
o Proven initiative and self-directed style
o Proficient with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
o Ability to travel 5 to10% within the local area and possibly to Southern California
Preferred
Qualifications:
o MBA
o Working knowledge of activity based costing (ABC) and familiar with standard activity costing structures.
o Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and reporting of IT projects related to disaster recovery, data centers or continuous availability.
o Experience partnering with NFS.
o Experience with construction projects.
o Experience with large capital project finance experience
o Experience with Business Objects and/or Cognos.
o Proficiency with MS Access.
o Knowledge of client systems and financial tools
o Knowledge of Regional Allocation methods for Client-IT
