Advanced Medical Support Assistant (Unlicensed Assistive Personnel)

Provides support for patient management and clinic administration.
Receives and directs patients.
Serves as an Unlicensed Assistive Personnel (UAP) for Primary Care.
Answers inquiries and makes referrals.
Schedules appointments; mails appointment reminder letters.
Coordinates medication renewals and refills from patients by phone or in person.
Takes and records vital signs.
Performs and transmits electrocardiograms (EKGs).
Applies sterile dressings; removes sutures and staples.
Recognizes emergency situations and responds appropriately.
Collects and labels specimens; obtains toxic urine screens; performs MRSA screening nasal swab, throat and wound cultures, and VRE cultures.
Performs phlebotomy.
Performs means tests; performs patient screening and documents computerized records.
Orders, distributes and maintains a stock of clinical supplies.
Monitors the care of equipment and identifies the need for replacements.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
