IT Project Specialist / IT Infrastructure
Job Description:
The IT Project Specialist will manage projects to implement new or updated systems into the production environment.
He/she will follow IT project methodology to manage project plans that change the production environment by adding or modifying systems.
This individual will take the initiative in the development of project charters; project plans, identification of tasks, and is able to drive projects through to completion, reporting on issues that could impact operations or the progress of a project.
The IT Project Specialist will be responsible for assisting in all phases of the IT Project Life Cycle for varying size projects.
This person will work directly with IT management to understand and monitor the project road map, from discovery through delivery, while communicating progress to key stakeholders.
A key part of this job will be acting as a liaison between many different departments such as marketing, finance, operations, construction and outside vendors.
The IT Project Specialist will also assist in measuring performance of the various projects to better enhance the project process.
The position will take direction from the Information Technology Manager to advance the IT systems to meet the organizations objectives.
Maintains a positive work environment and works well with staff members at all levels.
Duties and
Responsibilities:
Confer with project personnel to identify and resolve problems.
Negotiate with project stakeholders or suppliers to obtain resources or materials.
Establish and execute a project communication plan.
Prepare project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
Initiate, review, or approve modifications to project plans.
Schedule and facilitate meetings related to information technology projects.
Assist in identifying the need for initial or supplemental project resources.
Manage and track budgets for information technology projects.
Manage project execution to ensure adherence to budget, schedule, and scope.
Monitor or track project milestones and deliverable.
Coordinate activities of project personnel.
Develop and manage work breakdown structure of information technology projects.
Perform risk assessments to develop response strategies.
Submit project deliverable, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
Monitor the performance of project team members, providing and documenting performance feedback Develop implementation plans that include analyses such as cost-benefit or return on investment (ROI).
Develop or update project plans for information technology projects including information such as project objectives, technologies, systems, information specifications, schedules, funding, and staffing.
Work after hours and weekends as required by the business.
Skills and Qualifications Direct Information Technology Project Management experience overseeing infrastructure-based projects such Network Implementations, Data Center Migrations, Hardware upgrades and Virtualization.
Strong knowledge of MS, Office, Project, Visio, and Project Management methodologies.
Knowledge of Networks, Data Centers, Migrations, Implementations and Infrastructure Projects.
Must have specialized knowledge of the best practices for project management and are familiar with various technologies.
Understand competing priorities, can effectively manage simultaneously occurring tasks and are adaptable and flexible to the dynamic needs of projects while meeting deadlines.
The ability to communicate complex technical information in an easy-to-understand way.
Proven ability to communicate professionally in a corporate environment both verbal and written.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
