Job Summary
This Compliance Coordinator is responsible for general administrative and accounting functions within the legal/compliance department.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Responsible for routine insurance compliance administrative activities
Review, allocate and pay invoices from third party vendors
Reconcile, allocate and pay invoices for fees from various DOIs
Communicate as needed with DOIs, Bureaus and Program Managers
Open and appropriately distribute incoming mail, including mail to be forwarded to Program Managers
Responsible for daily tasks such as opening and appropriately distributing incoming mail, including mail to be forwarded to Program Managers; processing, appropriately archiving and distributing passive litigation; Loss Run requests;, Workers Compensation Crits/Notices
Take incoming calls that reception staff are unable to handle; guide the caller to the appropriate Program Manager or other resource
Maintain a basic knowledge of products and markets being served by SNC's Program Managers

Additional Responsibilities
Provide administrative support to management as needed

Qualifications:
Skills/Abilities
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines with little supervision
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong customer service skills
Strong organizational skills
Strong attention to detail
Basic knowledge of account reconciliation and accounts receivable processes
Familiarity with cost allocation methodologies
DOI Consumer Complaint and/or litigation handling knowledge helpful

Education/Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Some college preferred
1 to 3 years of accounting experience preferred
Insurance company or agency experience helpful
WORK CONDITIONS:
Standard office environment:
May be required to sit for extended periods of time

Standard office equipment: computers, printers, phones, fax machine, and copierEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
