CMM PROGRAMMER (contract-ASAP) - Pulaski, TN

CMM PROGRAMMER The PIC Group's Customer (a large Tier 1 Automotive Supplier in Pulaski, TN) is looking for a full-time, CMM Programmer to start immediately, Monday thru Friday (occasional weekends).
Pay rate is $25-28/hr.
This is a 6-8 month 'contract' position.
Educational Requirements:
o High school diploma or equivalent; o Associate degree desired.
Desired Work
Experience:
o Minimum of three (3) years CMM experience using 3D CAD, including programming.
o Automotive/Manufacturing experience a must (plus 'transmission/bearings/housed units' experience a plus)Desired Skills:
o Problem solving and analytical skills; o Computer proficiency; o Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
o Blueprint readingJob Responsibilities and Duties:
o Performs dimensional evaluations using fixtures, hand instruments/gages and CMM; o Writes programs for the CMM using PC DMIS software or other associated software; o Maintains dimensional documentation on PPAP; o Maintains documentation on all fixture certifications; o Maintains documentation on all calibration of all fixtures and gauges; o Ensures part layouts and inspection fixture certifications are completed as scheduled; o Ensures accuracy of part and fixture layouts and reports by verifying proper nominal locations and tolerances; o Ensures accuracy of part and fixture layouts by utilizing proper layout techniques; o Identifies and maintains traceability of samples before and after testing; o Ensures measuring devices are calibrated, identified and located per gage tracking database; o Conducts capability studies of components and assemblies - including GD&T experience; o Conducts GR&R studies of inspection fixtures and hand held measuring devices; o Provides technical support for quality issues, prototype parts and fixture designs; o Works with customers on quality issues and opportunities; o Performs all other duties as assigned.
