Currently seeking a Sterile Processing Educator - Surgical Services in the central area of Illinois at a Brand New, State of the Art Surgical Center.
The ideal candidate will have 3 to 5 years of recent Leadership/Supervisor healthcare sterile processing The responsibilities of the Sterile Processing Educator - Surgical Services:
Will plan, design, and monitor procedures for a variety of activities relating to the processing and sterilization of surgical/medical equipment.
Responsible for developing a training certification program for sterile processing personnel on the proper techniques in decontamination, assembly, sterilization, and distribution of sterile processing products and services.
Provide orientation and ongoing education for Sterile Processing colleagues to meet the national standards and work practice expectations of the department.

Develop a Training certification program for sterile processing personnel on the proper techniques in decontamination, assembly, sterilization and distribution of sterile processing products and services.
Establish and maintain a liaison and close communication with the operating room management and colleagues on tray rightsizing and the proper techniques for processing trays in the operating room in preparation for decontamination Provide management assistance in supervision of sterile processing colleagues as required by the sterile processing manager to establish quality standards and practices.
Requirements of the Sterile Processing Educator - Surgical Services High School Graduate; AA or BS Degree desirable, Surgical Technician Registered Central Sterile Processing Certification (CRCST/CBPDT) Minimum of 3 to 5 years of recent Leadership/Supervisor healthcare sterile processing Basic computer data entry and Microsoft Word/Excel efficiency Excellent verbal and written communication skills Demonstrates the ability to exercise independent and critical decision making About the facility This facility is a regional medical center serving the Central and Southern Illinois area.

The position is located in a Brand New State-of-the-Art Surgical Center.
