CNC Operator
Title:
CNC Programmer/OperatorObjective:
(1 to 2 Sentences) Program, Set-up and operate Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machining centers in the assigned department.
Responsibilities:
Fully understand how to use calipers, micrometers and other precision measuring instruments to check work procedures against specifications.
Perform all required PM's on all CNC machines in the department.
Understand and able to demonstrate complete knowledge of manual and automatic operation each machine.
Program, Set-up and run CNC machines to produce all parts to ISO standards.
Work from programs and prints to set-up machines.
Capability to down load operating programs and make adjustments as needed to maintain product specifications.
Some moderate lifting (40 lbs) required.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Education:
Technical School, (desired).
(Alternate) Appropriate years of Experience (required).
Five years minimum work experience (desired).
Required Skills:
Basic math, precision measurements, and blueprint reading.
Basic machining concepts.
Must have completed introduction to CNC and a course for basic and advanced CNC machining operations, or have equivalent job training and experience.
Must have full understanding of procedures for safe startup, machine operation, and normal or emergency shutdown of all CNC machines in the department.
