The position is responsible for managing transportation operations including day to day activities as well as initiatives to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of all corporate freight management.
Main
Responsibilities:
Manage corporate carrier network (TL, LTL, Intermodal and Parcel) including contract negotiation; optimization of service and cost, compliance, invoicing/payment, and claims.
Meet or exceed transportation operating expense budget, manage over $12M in annual spend.
Manage the Transportation department staff of five including daily activities, development of objectives, tracking and managing performance and employee development.
Manage the daily use of corporate transportation management system. Continue to evolve the utilization of the system and development of reporting.
Ensure compliance with all transportation regulatory requirements including transportation of hazardous materials.
Work with customers to ensure timely deliveries that meet customer requirements.
Identify and implement continuous improvement projects that result in measurable improvements in cost reduction and improved quality of service.
Develop monthly metrics to report on quality and efficiency of transportation operations that can be reviewed and acted on by operations management.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree required
Minimum of 5 years managing transportation operations, preferably in the CPG industry
Success in using transportation management (TMS) and enterprise software
Demonstrated ability to identify issues and implement corrective action with timely follow up
Key competencies include focusing on goals, communication and collaboration, sound judgment, leading others to work together, customer focus and effective decision making
Emphasis on the use of vendor score cards and transportation metrics to continue process improvements.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
