POSITION SUMMARY
The Oracle EBS Developer supports implementation of Oracle E-Business Suite modules including Financials (Accounting, Finance, and Procurement) and Supply Chain (Procurement, Manufacturing, Distribution) by implementing, solving break/fix issues, or by providing design, development, and support knowledge of Reports, Interfaces, Extensions and Workflows.
Typical duties/responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Provides technical leadership and expertise in a variety of ERP application areas and technologies.
Provides development expertise in a variety of tools and technologies including implementation of Forms, Reports, Extensions, Workflow, Web Services, Portal, DW ETL, Scripting, etc.
Validates functional specifications and create technical design documents and specifications.
Identifies and understands critical data sources.
Defines bolt-on software development requirements and configure tools accordingly.
Defines exception and error handling mechanisms.
Develops integration components and strategy across ERP modules and across business applications.
Executes and supports multiple test cycles to validate the solution.
Education:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or equivalent work experience is desired.
Experience:
Three or more years of software development experience with increasing responsibilities.
Two or more years of PL/SQL experience.
Experience in working with version control and software configuration management tools such as TFS, Subversion, CVS, HP Project and Portfolio Management (PPM).
Oracle EBS experience required; EBS 12.x Experience Preferred.
Computer Skills:
Proficient experience and knowledge of Java based development.
Knowledge and familiarity with the 2 or more of the following: Linux/Unix Shell Scripting, Oracle Workflow Builder, Oracle Forms (or other equivalent), Oracle Application Development Framework (ADF), Java.
Knowledge and understanding of SOA /BPEL development is preferred but not required.
Knowledge and understanding of Oracle ERP data models
Other requirements:
Must be able to guide, train, and mentor other IT staff on Oracle EBS Development.
Good interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills.
Must be a good team player and capable of working with teams in various geographic locations.
Must be able to execute projects end to end independently with minimal guidance
Understanding and use of change management systems and procedures
Ability to manage multiple tasks with competing and changing prioritiesEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
