Operations Manager

Looking for an honest, hardworking, detail-oriented and experienced person who can do manual labor and manage workers and do the following duties listed below.
Please note this is a detail oriented job, and the candidate needs good organizational skills and excellent counting skills. Accuracy and pride in work is essential.
Full Time hours (40/week) 8:30am - 4:30pm, five (5) days per week (M - F)
Office Organization and Management
Establishment and continuous improvement of office organization methods and management
Manage, supervise, and improve office operations with an aim of increasing efficiency and effectiveness
Delegate workload and supervise temporary and/or permanent admin or warehouse staff as needed.
Order, inventory, and maintain office and warehouse supplies
Establish, manage, and maintain records and file archives
.Logistics Management
Receiving Department:
Inspect, unload and inventory incoming shipments from vendors against packing slip and purchase order for accuracy and discrepancies in a timely manner
Document and report damages, shortages, or overages to carrier and vendor within 24 hrs of receipt
Process invoice correction for vendor damages or shortages in GP system and with vendor
Request and process RTV for damages, overages or incorrect product.
Inventory Management:
Manage, replenish within budget limits, and conduct physical inventory yearly or as needed
Warehouse Management:
Organize and manage warehouse so that product is located easily for picking and packing.
Maintain and manage adequate inventory of warehouse supplies and product inventory.
Transportation:
Review freight proposals on a yearly basis to maintain lowest carrier costs and keep open lines of communications with carriers
Be aware of and keep current with freight NMFC and Class numbers for Bills of Lading
Shipping:
Review, update, and keep abreast of current customer routing and compliance guides
Label, palletize, and schedule transportation of outbound freight and small package shipments to customers within requested delivery dates
Prepare packing slips, UCC-128 labels, pallet labels, and bills of lading for outbound shipments
Send ASN's and process customer invoices upon pick up of customer order
Reverse Logistics
Unload, inspect, and inventory incoming returns from customers in a timely manner
Label, palletize, and schedule transportation of product returns (RTV) to vendor
Order Processing Managemet
Sales
Process incoming sales orders via EDI, email, or customer site and report and/or correct any price discrepancies, case discrepancies, discontinued items, and/or any other inaccurate order details
Enter and process customer setups for new items via customer new information forms or customer website setup software, EDI, and within the GP accounting software.
Learn and understand the concept of various customer websites so as to input, process, and maintain accurate product and order information (Tradestone, Sterling TMS, Staples Partners, etc.)
Report order status to customer as needed
Purchasing
Process purchase orders based on incoming sales orders or for additional inventory needed, ensuring proper discounts are entered.
Order, maintain samples inventory, and/or send new product samples to customers, potential customers, or customer imaging companies as requested.
Order, process and manage fixture PO's for current and new customers based on integrated schedules, EDI orders, or buyer request.
Customer and Vendor Relations
Communicate with customers the status of open orders, fixtures, and/or issues as they arise.
Maintain communication with vendors on the status of open purchase orders, product cuts, out of stock product status, new product specs, and product changes.
Special Projects
Assist President on special projects as requested
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
AA or BS in Business Administration
Computer Application Knowledge: Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Paint
Business Software: Microsoft Great Plains or accounting software, EDI software, Shiping software (Fedex, YRC, UPS, etc)
Excellent oral and written communications skillsEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
