Supervisory Medical Supply Technician
Serves as the Assistant Chief Sterile Processing Service (SPS) under the direction of the Chief, SPS Develops standard operating procedures based on written manufacturer's instructions Responsible for all monitoring done within the facility to assure that all critical and semi-critical are processed according to manufacturer's instruction by SPS Acts as the Chief, SPS in the Chief's absence and is responsible for the overall functioning of SPS Manages staffing issues, administrative duties, attends meetings, submits reports in a timely manner Oversees all SPS staff including Lead Technician, acts as an advisor and maintains open communication Ensures all SPS employees are properly trained in all aspects of their positions Understands sterilizations parameters, biological monitoring, decontamination, preparation and packaging, inventory management and all sterilization and processing policies and procedures Plans and coordinates required actions on matters of standardization, new products, and consumables Submits reports and data in a timely manner utilizing a variety of programs (e.

VISTA, Microsoft Office, Sharepoint, Censitrac, Checkpoint, etc.
Required to attend Level I training and become II certified within 6 months after hire Position requires application of a large body of technical knowledge in forecasting short and long-range needs under constantly changing technological and program requirements Performs other duties as assigned Work Schedule:
