PAYROLL - Forklift Driver
POSITION
Summary:
Distribution warehouse in the city if Industry, California is seeking a Lift Truck Operator who will be responsible for close collaboration with the shift Team Leader in order to meet safety, productivity, operations, quality continuous improvement, lean initiatives and team effectiveness. Position provides training and equipment and process support to employees.
JOB REQUIREMENTS, SKILLS AND
Qualifications:
- Perform a series of tasks well under pressure, and manage a small group of employees at times.
- High School Diploma or GED, or equivalent certification.
- Demonstrates effective listening skills and is approachable to team members and others.
- Lift Experience - Preferably 1- 2 years.
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS AND SCOPE OF
Responsibilities:
- Manage all incoming and outgoing freight.
- Complete cycle counts as assigned and communicate results.
- Uphold the warehouse standards by maintaining items in their designated areas, including, but not limited to trash, pallets, forklift trucks, pallet jacks, boxes and finished goods.
- Maintain cleanliness of the Shipping/Receiving internal and external Dock areas and Warehouse work areas.
- Communicate with vendors, drivers, suppliers and/or contractors with attention to their safety, building security and customer service.
- Replenish point of use shelves (POUS) as assigned.
- Complete rework of finished goods pallets, as needed.
- Must be able to use a scanner and computer.
- Must be able to work in a fast paced environment.
- Must have a valid Driver's License.
- Must be able to work in-doors.
- Must be able to work extended shifts in order to accomplish goals.
- Manufacturing /production experience is required.
- Must be able to repeatedly lift up to 50 pounds.
- Basic Math.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions, short correspondence and memos.
- Ability to effectively communicate in one-on-one and in group situations.
- Must have forklift experience.
- Ability to pass forklift training test.
- Ability to work on feet for prolonged periods of time in a fast paced environment.
- Ability to follow instruction.
- Must be able to Work, weekends, as well as over time when required.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for any employer.
- Previous experience in a warehouse environment preferred and forklift certification.
Preferred Skills:
- Previous experience with Sit Down, Stand Up and Clamp Truck.
- Lift Truck Certification Preferred.
WORKING SCHEDULE & PAY RANGE:
- Shifts rotate every week (NO EXCEPTIONS) but may vary based on business needs and production goals.
- When scheduled to work on Day Shift will work: 7:00 am to 3:30 pm
- When scheduled to work on Swing Shift will work: 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm
- When scheduled to work on Night Shift will work: 11:00 pm to 7:30 am
Pay is $11.00Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
