LPN (Part Time)
The LPN provides quality nursing care and services to residents in a respectful and dignified manner, ensuring the delivery of all needed services. The LPN coordinates physical, social, and emotional aspects of assisted living care.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
o Execution of the medication management plan
o Continuous assessment of resident needs with updates to appropriate individuals as it relates to care and changes in condition
o Implement measures to assure resident wellness and safety
o Work as part of a team to meet resident needs
o Respond to emergencies timely and in a calm and competent manner
o Report incidents and changes in resident condition to Health Care Coordinator
o Be an active part of all activities including community events
o Be present and assist with the delivery of meals in the dining room, monitoring resident acceptance of diets and assuring adequate nutrition
o Maintain high standards with regard to record keeping, resident documentation
o Establish and maintain a positive working relationship with all departments
o Identify risk factors for residents and initiate interventions
o Provide a thorough report of resident status to oncoming nursing staff at each change of shift
o Provide motivation and direction to CNA/CMT's
o Attend in-services and staff meetings
o Adhere to and implement all policies and procedures
o Practice proper body mechanics and safe resident transferring techniques
o Adhere to attendance policies; report to work on time and prepared to begin duties
o Complete all other assigned duties
Requirements:
o Current LPN, or LVN license to practice nursing in Commonwealth of Virginia, with license in good standing with Board of Nursing
o Experience working with senior population, preferably in assisted living or LTC
o Must be a team player who works well with others and has experience supervising staff
o Must possess critical thinking skills, ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing
o Demonstrated ability to manage time efficiently with strong organizational skills
o Must be in good physical condition and be able to sit, stand, bend, kneel, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs.
o Must be willing to work a flexible schedule to include evenings and nights (3:00PM - 11:00PM and 11:00PM - 7:00AM), weekends and holidays.
o Must attend all required in-services and staff meetings
EOEEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
