CSR/Pharmacy Technician


Job Description: Pharmacy Technician - CSR
Monday-Friday 8am-5pm

Summary: To assist the facility with pharmacy related service for both the central and remote dispensing models. Provide training and education to clinical staff to maximize pharmacy services and maximize communications to facility and pharmacy.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND
Responsibilities: (The following duties and responsibilities are all essential job functions as defined by the ADA, except those that begin with the word may.)
Conduct yourself in the most respectful and professional manner with all coworkers, facility staff & administration at all times.
Manage inventory of consumables and medication containers which includes receiving and shipping.
Assist with medication returns from the facility for credit or destruction.
Triage initial issues that arise around medication availability.
Assist with distribution of medications within the facility campus, including making rounds to each nursing station to check on issues with any medication deliveries.
Manage E-Kit distribution and replacement (ensuring a minimum of 3 day supplies of meds).
Communicate regularly with designated technician(s) at pharmacy.
Review status of IV supplies, monitor IV pumps.
Make sure all paperwork is available and provided for refused medications on DC'd drugs.
Fax daily census for corrections and changes in payor status.
Return signed delivery tickets to pharmacy.
Help provide drug quotes for possible admissions.
Find and fax from chart necessary orders to assist data entry.
Routine maintenance, cleaning and paper changing of RDU and order admission paper and supplies.
Communicate to the facility on non-covered medications.
Assist with training and education of pharmacy processes and remote technology.
Train new nurses on Wellfount procedures.
Continuous Training (SOPs, Conference Calls, etc.)
On Med Cart audit line--Med Cart & Med Room audits monthly.
COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:
Strong customer service skills
Some computer and technical skills related to Windows, VPN and Outlook
Pharmacy Technician License, Certification and/or Registration
Valid driver's license
Strong communication skills
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Small amounts of lifting
Close vision with computer and paperwork
Talking and hearing on constant basis
Some walking and standing
TRAVEL: As necessary to pick up medications from back up pharmacy.
WORKING CONDITIONS: Work in well-lighted, heated and/or air conditioned indoor office setting with adequate ventilation.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
