MIDDLEWARE ARCHITECT/SR. WEB ADMINISTRATOR
Location: Albany, NY
Description
Seeking a motivated Middleware Architect to join our team in Albany NY. You will join a group of high-performing Architects to work on mission-critical systems with continuous availability and extremely stringent SLA's.
The candidate should have strong experience in various aspects of Application Middleware:
1) Architecting, Designing and Rolling Out highly available middleware infrastructure
2) Strong Experience in working in Agile DevOps Environment
3) Proven Experience Managing large COTS (Commercial Off the Shelf ) and Home Grown Web Applications
4) Understanding of Architecture Process; ability to translate high-level strategies into actionable roadmaps and deliverables
5) Ability to work as a part of a team, or as an Individual Contributor managing Stake Holders; mentoring Junior Web Administrators
Required
Experience:
1) Strong Experience in IBM WebSphere Application Environment (Architecting Complex Application Cluster, High Availability, Performance Engineering )
2) Strong Experience in IBM MQ, Data Power or similar SOA Appliances
3) Experience in Service Oriented Architecture, SOAP Based Web Services, Restful Services

Other Experience - not required
1) Experience and Understanding of Security Authentication, Authorization and Accounting (AAA), Security Stotes - LDAP, RACF etc, Encryption - SSL Certificates, 2 Way SSL, HMAC as it applies to Web Applications and Web Services
2) Experience in Automation Scripting, Continuous Delivery
3) Knowledge or RedHat 6 or higher.
4) Strong Understanding of DR, Back-up and Recovery and must have the ability to assist teams for DR Tests
Essential Job Functions
oConducts technical research, testing, evaluation and documentation of moderately complex hosting/configuration tools and methodologies to ensure that tools are current and functional.
oCreates application architectures and populates an application host/configuration matrices with appropriate strategies, timelines, and cost information to increase cost efficiency and effectiveness.
oCoordinates with application developers, managers and customer application experts to ensure that required features and modifications are included in the appropriates releases to support cross-product features and to communicate architectural designs and standards.
oDesigns application modules that work together to produce desired product. Ensures that completed modules provide functionality described by application experts and to ensure that performance guidelines are met.
oPlans technical support infrastructure through the creation of service level agreements; leads the transition from application development to support to ensure that appropriate support is available to clients in a timely and efficient manner.
oProvides high-level analysis and design reviews to other department members to avoid duplication of effort in solving the same application problems with different products.
oWorks with third party vendors to develop and/or integrate their applications into company products; ensures that applications are in accordance with company product standards and guidelines.
oWorks with product development teams and senior designers to develop architectural requirements to ensure client satisfaction with product.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
oBachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
oBachelor's degree in business, software engineering, computer science or related field preferred
oNine or more years of application architecture and/or product development experience
oExperience working with software systems, applications and network markets
oExperience working with technical products, vendors, and families of technologies and company software and hardware products
oExperience working with application design principles and product configurations
oExperience working with appropriate programming languages, operating systems, hardware and software
oExperience working with mainframes, scheduling software, and other related technologies
oExperience working with software development life cycle

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
