Summary: Shipping employees are responsible for building crates and pallets and packaging product based on the logistics shared by both the Northwood and Denver facilities.
Essential Duties &
Responsibilities:
o Learn and understand the logic behind the different pallet sizes and construction.
o Learn and understand the different packaging needs for the different types of units to be packaged.
o Understands and uses the computer operating systems and reports effectively.
o Maintains equipment by preventative maintenance as it applies to specific equipment.
o Understands and maintains an organized work area.
o Interprets work orders and production paperwork in order to organize truck loads.
o Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
o HS Diploma or GED
o Exceptional communication, organizational, time management, ability to work in a team, and people solving skills and a high attention to detail are a must.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
o Ability to recognize wood species.
o Ability to work individually and as part of a team.
o Strong time management and attention to detail.
o Ability to stay focused.
o Knowledge of product line.
o Ability to keep work area neat and clean.
o Effectively utilize required equipment and materials to manufacture product.
o Ability to correctly read a tape measure.
o Strong mathematical ability.
LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and comprehend instructions. Ability to effectively present information one-on-one and in small group situations to department lead, supervisor and other employees of the organization. Proficiency in English required.
REASONING ABILITY Able to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions, Ability to deal with problems involving several variables in standardized situations.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is continuously required to stand and alternately required to walk or stand. The employee is required to repetitively use fine finger movements, eye/hand movements and push/pull movements. The employee is occasionally required to lift 51-75lbs. The employee must occasionally bend or stoop and kneel or crouch and push or pull, and at times do so frequently. The employee is occasionally required to climb, reach above shoulder and handle or grip, and at times do so frequently. The employee is required to rotate head and operate foot pedals occasionally.

The work environment is indoors in an industrial manufacturing facility. The employee is continually in an environment that is without environmental control.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
