POSITION SUMMARY (Mechanical Engineer)
The successful Mechanical Engineer is responsible for recommending, developing, implementing and maintaining optimal, cost effective manufacturing processes, methods and controls in accordance with product specifications and standards. This position will coordinate between research and development, management, production, technical sales, suppliers and quality to meet customer requirements.
Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
o Performs research, design, and development of manufacturing processes, production flow, assembly methods, and production equipment including tooling & fixtures
o Leads the manufacturing launch of new or revised products; Follow-up, lead, and delegate tasks/duties; Document project details and communicate to team and management
o Ensure all projects are transferred to respective departments, including coordinating all technical training, resolving all startup issues, and providing technical documents for process control and training purposes
o Design, cost justify, develop, execute, and test capital and productivity projects within approved budgets, scopes and timelines
o Perform product/process analysis for cost reduction, quality improvement, and efficiency improvement
o Involvement with PPAP (Production Part Approval Process)
o Works closely with purchasing and suppliers of part components, tool and contracted services
o Evaluate and assist in solving production problems
o Evaluate and approve drawings, specs, and other documents
o Maintain and update manufacturing rates and records
o Represent manufacturing on cross functional teams
o Assist in quoting process and feasibility reviews
o Additional roles and responsibilities as assigned
Required
Qualifications:
o BS Degree in Mechanical, Industrial or Materials Science Engineering or related field
o 2-5 years of experience in related role or field in a manufacturing environment
o Must be open-minded, flexible, and able to adapt easily and accept new ideas quickly
o Demonstrated ability to work multiple projects simultaneously and to prioritize and balance multiple tasks
o Ability to work independently and as part of a cross functional team
o Excellent organizational, problem solving, and verbal/written communication skills
o Good interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with co-workers, customers and vendors at all levels in numerous functions
o Ability to troubleshoot complex processes
o Ability to read and understand 2D drawings including GD&T
o Proficient in computers and specific software; MS Project, CAD, Visio, Microsoft Office, Minitab
o Design and drafting experience, preferably using Solidworks
o Project management experience is preferred
o Robot programming experience is preferred
o CNC machining experience is preferred
o Experience with Lean Manufacturing is preferred
o Working knowledge of SPC and Six Sigma including DOE is preferred
o ISO experience is preferred
o Ability to wear proper personal protective equipment (earplugs, safety glasses, respirator)
o Ability to lift 50 lbs.


Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
