INFANT/TODDLER/PRESCHOOL/PRE-K & KINDERGARTEN ASSISTANT TEACHERS
Our School is seeking Assistant Teachers to join our team. REQUIRED
Qualifications:
o Bachelor's degree in early childhood education or closely related field (preferred), OR Associate's degree in nursery education plus 3 years of experience as a nursery school assistant and current or near future enrollment in an early childhood baccalaureate program, OR 10 years of experience as a nursery school teacher and a minimum of 20 hours of credit in early childhood education in an approved teacher education institution and willingness to undertake and annual study plan
o Child Development Associate Credential, OR American Montessori Society certification
o Teaching or student teaching experience
o Ability to work effectively with a Lead Teacher
o Outstanding verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate successfully with children, colleagues and parents
o A structured yet flexible, nurturing, and child-centered approach to teaching
PREFERRED
Qualifications:
o Bachelor's degree in early childhood education or closely related field, OR Associate's degree in nursery education plus 3 years of experience as a nursery school assistant and current or near future enrollment in an early childhood baccalaureate program, OR 10 years of experience as a nursery school teacher and a minimum of 20 hours of credit in early childhood education in an approved teacher education institution and willingness to undertake and annual study plan
o New York State Teaching Certification - Early Childhood (N-Grade 2) OR Elementary Education (K-Grade 6)
o Knowledge of NYS Common Core learning standards
o Exposure to Montessori programs
o Special Education or Inclusive Education certification or experience
o Teaching experience in an early childhood classroom
o Knowledge of music education, art history and a second language
o Experience incorporating technology & sciences into the classroom
o Availability to work until 5:30 or 6:00pm Monday-Friday and an interest in helping to organize and run special events
o Administrative or management potential

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
