Accounting Analyst

Vendome Partners International is currently recruiting an Accounting Analyst for a large Environmental Services company based in New Jersey. Our client is a stable and growing company backed by a $15B multinational corporation.
Duties/Main
Responsibilities:
Coordinates accounting and finance activities between corporate office and segments/business units especially all Peoplesoft related activities to ensure that required accounting and finance activities are completed in a timely and accurate manner.
The position will also be responsible for:
Providing all financial assistance (accruals analysis, drilldowns, etc.) required by the operating departments in order for them to understand and manage their P&L.
Working as a key liaison between segmant operations and accounting department
Assisting with the division month-end close process
Assisting in the development of reporting for the Segment. This includes monthly results reporting, reporting for Segment leadership, reporting for corporate leadership, and for monthly forecast reviews and analysis.
Any additional tasks as needed by the Finance Director, Division Managers, & Area Managers.
Skills/
Qualifications:
BA/BS degree in Finance, Accounting or related required
A minimum of 3 years in accounting and/or finance
MBA in Accounting preferred
CPA a plus
Excellent knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
Prior Journal Entry, Book Close and Reporting experience highly desired
Excellent quantitative, analytical, systemic and problem solving skills.
Strong knowledge of Excel, including pivot and look-up table functionalities.
Prior knowledge and experience with PeopleSoft, SAP or other ERP software preferred.
Working in multi-business unit environment / consolidations
Ability to build long-term, working relationship with key operational leaders, management and team members

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
