Job Description:
The Software Engineer is responsible for the development, testing, and maintenance of software for Quantachrome Scientific Instruments and following software development guidelines while maintaining ISO documentation.
Primary
Responsibilities:
The Software Engineer, under the guidance of the Director of Product Development is to coordinate with marketing and quality assurance regarding new software features.
The Software Engineer is to assist the MIS Coordinator with IT/MIS tasks as needed.
Provide S/W support to field service when needed, as well as the internal manufacturing floor.
Follow company policies, procedures and safety regulations
Background Requirements:
BS in Computer Science or related field (5
years experience)
Expert knowledge of C+
language
Expertise in programming for Windows32 API ( not .net or MFC)
Knowledge of Linux O/S internals
Experience in User Interface design and development
Knowledge in socket (TCP/IP) programming
Knowledge of QT development framework
Additional skills (plus)
Expertise with Borland/CodeGear/Embarcadero compilers and IDEs.
Expertise in VCL (Visual Component Library) framework
Expertise in OWL (Object Windows Library) framework
Experience with embedded instrument controlEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
