SUMMARY OF POSITION
The primary focus of the role is to work as a chemical operator position in the production department. The primary responsibility is to operate catalyst manufacturing units.


MAJOR ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

o Operate individual units following specific Unit Operating Instructions (UOI), including turning equipment on and off, controlling equipment via computer, taking reading from instruments, taking and submitting samples to Analytical, etc.
o Observe anything that does not conform to the UOI's and specific daily instructions and report these observations to the Shift Supervisor.
o Record observed data in log sheets, as required by UOI's.
o Utilize enterprise management system SAP to log and monitor production variables.
o Makes suggestions as to better ways to accomplish the assigned tasks.
o Work in a safe manner and maintain an orderly workplace in conformance with the Safety Manual and recognized safe procedures.
ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE
Position reports to the Supervisor, Production
BACKGROUND REQUIREMENTS
o High School graduate (some college preferred)
o At least 3 years experience in a manufacturing environment
o Strong verbal and written communication skills
o Good comfort level with computers and automated machinery
o Leadership potential/ability to move up within production organization is a plus
o Good mechanical ability.
o Capable of performing heavy physical labor.
o Able to work any of three shifts and available for periods of weekend work.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
