Physician - Orthopedic Surgeon
Full time staff Orthopedic Surgeon position at VA Upstate NY Health Care Network in Canandaigua.
The selected applicant will provide Orthopedic outpatient clinical services at our Canandaigua VA campus and community based outpatient clinic in Rochester, NY.
The outpatient procedures performed will be consistent with the selected provider's granted privileges and based upon individual training, qualifications, and experience to include, but not limited to the following:
Diagnosis, treatment and consultations in Orthopedics; Aspiration of masses or joints of the upper and lower extremities; Injections into bursa, joints, tendon sheath, neuromas, and cysts of upper and lower extremities; Irrigation and debridment removal of foreign bodies/masses from the upper and lower extremities with or without local anesthetic; Application of splints and casts to the upper and lower extremities; Suturing of skin and tendon structures; Ordering laboratory studies musculoskeletal imaging, medications and other treatments and prosthetics pertinent to orthopedic care; removal of stitches/staples from skin and soft tissues of the upper and lower extremities; review and interpretation of radiologic studies of the musculoskeletal system.
The incumbant for this position may be eligible to apply for the Education Debt Reduction Program contingent on funding availability.

DESIGNATED DRUG-TESTING POSITION:

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
