Our client is one of the leading retail brands in the country. In addition to their brick-and-mortar stores, they have a strong online presence and a catalog business. The eCommerce channel will contribute over $1B in revenue in the year ahead and they are actively hiring people to join this team. We are looking for a Manager, Digital Merchandising to lead a team of five direct reports.

This role is based in Maine. The search is national and the client will provide a generous relocation package. Please note, you must be located in/able to relocate their corporate headquarters as there is not a telecommuting option.

At a high level, we are looking for a candidate who is
Analytical - Excels in Omniture, SQL, and Microsoft Excel. Thinks analytically and proves it with data, focusing on what's selling, why, the impact merchandising has on marketing mix, etc.
Experienced people manager and a track record of cultivating talent
Amazing communicator - in writing and verbally - and who can present findings and recommendations to senior leaders persuasively and with confidence.


The Manager, Digital Merchandising will lead a team of analysts to optimize product performance across the company's digital properties in support of ecommerce growth plans. This team is responsible for the assortment strategies for all product categories on the site and across emarketing efforts. This person will connect channel budgets, audience goals, and customer insights with site merchandising and content strategies and will be responsible for site navigation and landing page optimization for inbound marketing activities. The role also provides leadership on SEO content initiatives and collaborates with the SEO team, merchant and copy teams to deliver the top quality content

The Digital Merchandising Manager is responsible for
Presenting results and strategies to key stakeholders and department leaders
Providing merchandise content performance analysis for the ecommerce channel as well as by emarketing program
Reviewing reports and metrics and identifying opportunities to grow and optimize specified area of responsibility
Analyzing the competitive marketplace for patterns and trends
Identifying and implementing site testing opportunities in partnership with Web Analytics
Overseeing internal work on On-Site Search sort and assortment optimization such as keyword usage for silo strategy, landing page development and linking paths

Qualifications
Seven plus years of online merchandising experience, ideally with site merchandising, analytics, and promotional strategies
Bachelor's degree; MBA preferred
Ability to
Think strategically, conceptually and analytically
Communicate clearly, persuasively, and diplomatically to a wide range of audience
Manage and motivate a large team
Negotiate with ease and to affect desired results
Conceptualize the opportunities/uses of new technology with the context of business and customer needed


Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
