Graphics Specialist
DLS Engineering Associates, a government engineering and logistics services firm celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2015, is seeking qualified candidates to fill an immediate full-time opening as a Graphics Specialist at the US Coast Guard base in Elizabeth City North Carolina
The duties will include but are not limited to:
o Import and manipulate text and graphics inside of Arbortext software to produce ready for print MPC's, TCTO's and changes / updates to existing technical manuals. All text and graphics shall be in accordance with the current Coast Guard format.
o Provides graphical support to Technical Writers by generating wiring diagrams, schematics and illustrations for use in various Technical Publications, Aircraft Manuals, Time Compliance Technical Order (TCTOs), Engineering Specifications and Maintenance Procedure Cards.
o Provide high quality illustrations, artwork, and aircraft production support; provides illustrating services IAW CGTO PG-85-00-240-A, Graphics Style Process Guide.
Qualifications:
o Minimum of one (1) year experience in the development and modification of illustrations for aviation technical manuals.
o Ability to understand and provide a finished product performed to local and industry illustrating standards.
o Efficient illustrating skill-set that enables them to complete assigned work to standard and no later than assignment target date set.
o Aircraft Computerized Maintenance System (ACMS), Asset Logistics Management Information System (ALMIS) and Aviation Maintenance Management Information System (AMMIS).
o Must have intermediate computer skills and knowledge of the following programs - Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat and Illustrator, Auto-Troll Tech Illustrator
o Must be a United States Citizen or Permanent Resident
