Housekeeping Aid Supervisor

The Housekeeping Aid Supervisor is located in the Facilities Management Service, Environmental Management Section (EMS).
Incumbent is under the direct supervision of the Assistant Chief, EMS.
EMS is comprised of the Environmental Sanitation, Linen Distribution and Repair, and Patients' Assistance programs.
o Performs a variety of duties and assignments related to the supervision of an assigned group of employees responsible for carrying out duties involving housekeeping and sanitation activities to ensure a safe and healthy environment for Veterans, staff and visitors.
o Recognizes significant problem areas which currently exist within the section.
Makes viable recommendations for correcting problem situations and is an active participant in implementing accepted recommendations.
Work assignments and adjustments are made so effectively that maximum productivity is obtained from manpower and equipment alike.
o Makes recommendations on ways to better establish/maintain record keeping material and correctly implements accepted recommendations.
Works primarily in a problem solving environment.
Works with Veterans, Veterans' families and visitors of the medical center, in addition to other medical center staff and employees supervised.
Work Schedule:
1st shift Mon thru Fri, 6am - 2:
30pm; 2nd shift Sunday thru Thurs 2pm - 10:
30pm, and 3rd shift 10pm - 6:
30am.
May be required to work weekends, holidays, work varied shifts and work outside of assigned working hours, when necessary.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
