Stability Scientist- Analytical
Position SummaryUnder supervision, provides analytical and technical support by conducting testing for Analytical Data Packages required for pharmaceutical product development.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities % of Time 1 Perform wet chemistry & instrumental analysis using techniques such as HPLC/UPLC, UV/V1S, IR, GC and dissolution methods.
Emphasis on sample preparation, dissolution analysis, and Karl Fischer 15 2 Set-up and prepare equipment and reagents 10 3 Operate, maintain and calibrate equipment (such as HPLC, UV/VIS, IR, GC & dissolution) 10 4 Conduct routine testing of formulation trials and other samples (dissolution, assay, impurity, water-content, etc.
).
10 5 Participate in method developments and conduct method validations and stability testing.
25 6 Communicates primarily with immediate supervisor, project leader and other designated personnel.
10 7 Keeps up to date with technology and SOPs.
5 8 Maintain regulatory compliance and safe work area.
Works in compliance with all SOPs; Follows safety rules and procedures.
10 9 Performs other duties as assigned or required by business needs.
5 Position RequirementsEducation and
Experience:
o BS in Chemistry or related discipline with 2-5 years analytical chemistry experience in pharmaceutical or related industry.
o MS in Chemistry or related discipline with 1-3 year analytical chemistry experience in pharmaceutical or related industry Specialized or Technical Knowledge o Capable of performing stability testing for API and FP o Good documentation skills o Familiarity with GMP's and USP Functional Knowledge:
o Use of specific instruments:
