Field Clinical Engineer, Northeast US

Position
Summary:
The Field Clinical Engineer will provide technical support and oversight to clinical study sites by serving as ATI's technical resource to the medical community. Specifically this position will be responsible for all aspects of conducting clinical trials at the clinical sites, surgical implant coverage, anatomy and surgical implant technique training, patient follow-up clinics, product validation, troubleshooting, customer service, and education.

Essential Functions:
Field Clinical Responsibility
Assist in the development of new clinical sites
Facilitate site start up activities and activation process
Partner with study team and sites to drive site goals
Conduct site training on protocols and surgical procedures
Attend and provide support for surgical procedures and follow-up activities
Assist investigators in product application, training, and troubleshooting
Document problems related to investigational and commercial devices with appropriate team members
Strong focus on surgical quality outcomes, timely/accurate clinical study data
Partner with internal and site staff to drive patient recruitment at the clinical sites
Actively support clinical and technical publications, in collaboration with the Clinical department and clinical investigators
Product Development
Participate in product validation
Generate intellectual property and support intellectual property activities
Represent Autonomic Technologies in providing solutions to technical issues associated with assigned projects
Personal Expertise
Comply with Autonomic Technologies' quality system requirements as well as any applicable regulatory requirements
Maintain expert knowledge of applicable surgical processes, anatomy, neurophysiology, and programming skills.
Maintain thorough knowledge about assigned products and services as well as competitive products
Maintain thorough awareness of all Good Clinical Practices regulations
Other duties, as assigned

Qualifications:
B.S. in Engineering (Electrical, Biomedical or Mechanical preferred), Life Sciences or in a related medical field (Advanced degree preferred).
3
years of field clinical experience (prefer experience with implantable neuromodulation products)
Excellent working knowledge of clinical research and GCP
Excellent written and verbal communication skills that will promote effective and prompt communication with customers, medical staff and product development teams
Excellent working knowledge of MS Office, MS Project,
Ability to work independently and with confidence in an evolving, complex environment with a positive attitude and flexibility
Ability to travel extensively is required, up to 80% when needed.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
