Certified Nurse Assistant CNA "willing to train"
Job Description
Certified Nursing Assistant helps patients by supporting personal hygiene and daily living needs; providing comfort, transportation and vital sign monitoring.
Job Requirements
o Assisting activities of daily living such as bathing, hygiene, grooming, dress residents in appropriate clothing, undress, and bathe residents.
o Pass out meals and nourishments, feed or assist to feed residents according to their needs.
o Position residents for comfort.
o Complete and record vital signs and weights as required
o Follow safe lifting techniques. Assist with transferring residents in and out of wheelchairs /bed using mechanical lifts.
o Implement goal and objectives with residents to improve or maintain skills and ability.
o Assist resident families as necessary providing them excellent customer service.
o Document all appropriate resident records before leaving shift daily.
o Assist residents to attend activities within the home and in the community.
Attend CNA classes to become a Certified Nursing Assistant (if not currently certified).
o Attend staff meetings and required in-service training programs.
o Responsible for obtaining continuing education units (CEUs) for renewal of CNA certificate, renewing certificate in a timely fashion, and furnishing operation with a current CNA certificate.
o Inspect finger and toe nails routinely and trim as needed.
o Observe residents and report all changes in condition immediately to Charge Nurse and complete staff report.
o Learn training and behavior management goals and objectives for the residents you are assigned.
o Follow all operation and ResCare policies including but not limited to:
dress code, attendance, safety, and reporting procedures.
o Participate in any and all tasks as directed by your supervisor.
